The Florida Retiro Dinner Show was created by Yllana for Friday and Saturday evenings at the La Sala de Florida Retiro Park.
For this third season, they had the great fortune to have the charismatic performer and comedian Alex O’Dogherty as the master of ceremonies who, along with his band La Bizarrería, picked the iconic stage of Florida Retiro to seduce audiences with his music and unique sense of humour. O’Dogherty was succeeded in later months by magnificent Alicia Lobo as the ringmaster.
The show’s leitmotiv revolves around fate and the plot reflects on the mystery of destiny, its opportunities and the possibility of changing it, based on each audience member’s deepest desires.
And what we all know and expect from the shows for Florida Retiro, this Yllana creation included numbers with astounding acrobatics, live music and, naturally, a lot of laughs.
The Florida Retiro Dinner Show was a veritable sensory experience for the audiences that flooded into La Sala, the iconic venue in Florida Retiro at which they recorded the now mythical television programmes by José María Íñigo and Concha Velasco.
To add the crowning touch to the evening, viewers could savour the delicious culinary creations of Chef Iván Cerdeño, awarded with one Michelin star for his restaurant El Carmen de Montesión, in Toledo.
The Florida Retiro Dinner Show premiered on 19 October 2018 and made weekend nights memorable until June 2019.
