On 12th September 2006 it took place the opening ceremony of the Madrid theatre season at the Nuevo Alcalá Theatre under the artistic direction and executive production of YLLANA. A fresh and dynamic event for those who attended it personally as well as for those who watched it on TV as it was broadcast by Telemadrid. The ceremony featured the following artists: Yanana, a musical band with 8 members from Mayumana and YLLANA, a preview of the latest show of the virtuoso violinist Ara Malikian and different dance companies from Madrid that joined together to create a unique performance in order to show the creativity and great variety that Madrid can offer specifically in this field. The Madrid Region also presented other performances from renowned artists such as Manolo Escobar and Arturo Brachetti.
