The Móstoles School of Acting will once again be a key part of the May 2nd festivities in 2026, declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest, culminating the training developed throughout the year focused on the historical reenactment of the events of 1808.
On May 1st at 12:00 pm, scenes depicting everyday life will be performed, with the collaboration of the Móstoles Jota Group, in three locations within the municipality: the Huerta Barracks, the entrance to the Hermitage of Our Lady of the Saints, and the stage in Plaza de España. These scenes will portray the daily life of the residents of Móstoles in May 1808.
On May 2nd at 8:00 pm, on the stage in Plaza de España, the performance of “1808. Blood and Sand” will take place, an original play about the historical events that occurred in Móstoles and the signing of the proclamation by the mayors that sparked the War of Independence. The production will also feature the collaboration of the La Estrella de Móstoles Band and 60 musicians on stage.
Both days of the performances are directed by our colleague David Fernández (Fabu).
In this way, the Móstoles School of Actors once again transforms theatrical training into a great collective experience in service of the city’s historical memory.
