On Saturday, September 6th, the 41st edition of the reenactment of the Mutiny of Aranjuez will be held. This festival commemorates the 1808 uprising against Manuel Godoy, minister of King Charles IV, and has been declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest. The day before, Friday, September 5th, the Parade and Assault on Godoy’s Palace will take place.

More than 170 residents bring this historic episode to life in the Plaza de Parejas, transforming the Royal Palace into the epicenter of the uprising.
