What the Butler Saw

First hour of the morning, in his office at a mental health clinic, Doctor Prentice will interview Geraldine for a job as a secretary. Then we see the prestigious psychiatrist taking an interest in much more than the working abilities of the charming girl, who he subjects to extravagant physical tests. When the ludicrous test has already started, Mrs Prentice suddenly walks into the surgery, who has come to spend the weekend with a group of lesbians. And that is only the beginning of Lo que vio el mayordomo, which gives us a good idea of what’s to come over the course of the next two hours. Starting here, in a single scene over the course of a single day, six characters: the doctor, his voluptuous wife, the guileless applicant for secretary, the libertine hotel bellboy, the irrational health inspector, and the inept policeman will take us through a series of absurd situations, replete with a dose of social criticism, motivated by the infallible comic recourse of quid pro quo. When the work finishes, we will be aware of having witnessed an authentic and insane ceremony of confusion.
