Toc Toc is the cinema version of the successful theatre comedy bearing the same name by Laurent Baffie. Yllana collaborated with comic advisory services in creating the gags during film production.
Toc Toc, with script and direction by Vicente Villanueva, has an exceptional cast featuring some of the most renowned Spanish actors: Paco León, Rossy de Palma, Alexandra Jiménez, Adrián Lastra, Óscar Martínez, Nuria Herrero and Inma Cuevas. Production was by LAZONA, Atresmedia Cine and Wind Films AIE.
In this hilarious comedy, a group of patients all end up together in the surgery of a prestigious psychologist. The six were given appointments on the same day and at the same time, but there’s something else they all have in common: they all have OCD (TOC in Spanish, obsessive-compulsive disorder). The flight the doctor is on was delayed and the patients are forced to share an interminable wait until he turns up. Will they be able to control their fixations, tremors, obsessions and rituals while they wait?
The film premiered on 6 October 2017 and has triumphed at the box office since its launch, rising to number two in the week it premiered, only topped by Blade Runner 2049. Taking in € 971,889 in its first week, it was established as one of the most popular Spanish comedies of the year.
