Following the excellent start to ticket sales, the artistic team of Flamenc Oh!! has already taken to the stage. Yesterday, rehearsals officially began for this ambitious co-production with Sadler’s Wells Theatre, a stage production that fuses flamenco and physical comedy with the utmost artistic rigor and overwhelming energy. The wonderful cast of Flamenc Oh!! includes David Bastidas (@davidbastidasm), Raquela Ortega (@raquelaortega), Raúl Ortega (@raulortegabailaor), Anabel Moreno (@anabel.moreno.gr), and Luis Gallo (@galloalonso), with musical direction by Juan Cañas (@jcanasc), Michael McMuffin (@michael.mcmuffinn), and Daniel Rovalher (@danielrovalher), and choreography by Carlos Chamorro (@carloschamorrobaile).
The creative process began with an initial workshop where footwork and physical expression began to intertwine under the company’s direction. In these first sessions, the cast is already working on blending gesture—the company’s signature style—with the depth of flamenco, refining the balance between technique and humor that defines this creation.
Over the next few weeks, rehearsals will intensify to polish every choreographic and dramatic detail, with an eye toward the performances scheduled at the Gran Teatro CaixaBank Príncipe Pío, where the show will run from July 1 to 26, 2026.
“There’s an electrifying energy in the studio. Seeing how the codes of flamenco embrace comedic gestures confirms that Flamenc Oh!! is going to be a unique experience for the audience,” the directors commented.
Tickets are now available, and this season in Madrid will be the starting point before the show crosses borders for its highly anticipated run in London.
