Alcalá de Henares is preparing to experience one of the most iconic cultural events of the fall, “Don Juan in Alcalá,” a Festival of National Tourist Interest, which will once again fill the Huerta del Obispo with magic on October 31st and November 1st.
After months of work, rehearsals, and artistic design, the performance is ready to once again captivate audiences with a version that respects tradition but firmly embraces a contemporary and emotional perspective. The goal, as the director emphasizes, is “to reconnect the audience with the intensity of the myth, bringing them closer to their own reality and its contradictions.”
The performance, directed by Joe O’Curneen (Yllana), will once again feature Antonio Pagudo (Don Juan) and Julia Piera (Doña Inés), following last year’s success. The cast is completed by Rafa Maza, Rodrigo Sáenz de Heredia, Roberto Correcher, David Fernández ‘Fabu’, Héctor Carballo, Alba Recondo, Gabriela Flores, among others.
We’d love to have you join us for this special event, but if you can’t experience it in person… you can do so from home!
Both performances will be broadcast live so that no one misses this unique event with theater, tradition, and emotion.
