Next Saturday, May 23rd, at 9:00 PM, Móstoles will once again travel back in time with a new edition of the Charles V Theatrical Route, a free performance that will begin at the Tourist Office in Plaza de Pradillo and end in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento (Town Hall Square).
Yllana, the company behind the Móstoles School of Theater, leads this route, which recreates the visit of King Charles V to the town on April 5, 1525. Through theater, we invite the public to discover what this small town was like back then, part of Toledo province, its customs, its layout, and some of its most prominent figures.
During the tour, characters such as the Count of Puñonrostro, María Teresa de Haro, Alonso de Rojas y Ayala, and Vicente de Carrancio will appear in an experience that combines history, humor, and spectacle. The route will include theatrical scenes, sword fights, dances, and period music, bringing Móstoles’ past to life in an engaging, unique, and entertaining way.
This nighttime event for all ages promises to surprise locals and visitors alike, transforming the city center streets into a living stage of the city’s history.
