Glorious, the worst singer in the world, has already been seen by one million people. The show premiered in August 2005 in the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. The production starring Maureen Lipman arrived in November 2006 at the West End of London and stayed there for 6 months at the Duchess Theatre. It received a nomination for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy. From the premiere the show has been played in every continent and has been seen by over 1.000.000 people.
Synopsis:
The world first heard her voice in 1912, the year the Titanic went down. As we all know, Titanic’s tragedy was due to an iceberg; while Florence’s… there was no one able to tune her up.
Even though, Florence’s story is far from being a tragedy. Florence succeeded in landing in one of the most significant musical harbors in the world: New York’s Carnagie Hall. She sang a whole concert in a sold-out theatre: a great achievement considering that she couldn’t sing at all.
